Horizon Drylining & Plastering
Building a commercial construction brand for the Irish market.

The project
Horizon Drylining & Plastering came to First Page Digital with something many new businesses cannot manufacture: decades of genuine industry experience.
After more than two decades working across major commercial and residential construction projects in the UK, founder Ross Gill returned to Ireland and established Horizon Drylining & Plastering Ltd.
The challenge was to turn that experience into a professional, credible and commercially focused brand capable of opening conversations with main contractors, developers and construction procurement teams across Ireland.
The challenge
Horizon was a relatively new company in Ireland, but the experience behind the business was anything but new. Ross had spent 24 years working within drylining and plastering and had previously operated a construction business in London, managing workforces of up to 170 people across live projects.
His experience included major residential developments, commercial fit-outs and mixed-use schemes. The issue was not capability — it was communicating that capability quickly enough for a commercial decision-maker encountering Horizon for the first time.
The new digital presence needed to answer the questions that matter to construction buyers:
- •Can they handle the package?
- •Do they understand commercial sites?
- •Can they resource the work?
- •Can they work to programme?
- •Do they understand drawings, specifications, compliance and coordination?
- •And can we trust them to deliver?
The strategy
Rather than build Horizon's website around generic phrases such as "quality workmanship" or "reliable plasterers", we developed the brand around the factors that actually influence commercial construction procurement.
The proposition became centred on:
Building the brand
We developed a visual identity capable of working equally well across tender documentation, capability statements, website, project presentations, site signage, workwear, vehicles, social media and sales collateral.
The identity uses a strong navy foundation combined with a high-visibility orange accent and Horizon's distinctive horizon symbol. The result is deliberately professional rather than decorative.
The brand positioning: Strong. Clear. Credible.
The website
The website was not approached as an online brochure. It was built as part of Horizon's commercial acquisition process, structured around the information a main contractor, quantity surveyor, contracts manager or procurement professional is likely to need before making contact.
Services
Dedicated commercial pages covering Horizon's core capabilities:
Projects
Previous experience was converted into structured project content rather than being buried inside an About page. Individual project pages allow Horizon to demonstrate project type, location, scope of works, systems installed, delivery experience, site photography, relevant project challenges and operational capability.
Company capability
Horizon's operational strengths were brought to the forefront:
SEO strategy
The search strategy was developed around the services Horizon actually wants to win. That meant prioritising commercially valuable searches such as SFS framing contractors, commercial drylining contractors, and metal stud partition contractors.
The objective is not simply to generate more website visitors. It is to place Horizon in front of people actively searching for subcontractors capable of delivering these packages.
Conversion strategy
Commercial construction enquiries rarely follow the same process as residential lead generation. We designed Horizon's calls to action around those realities — creating opportunities to discuss an upcoming package, invite Horizon to tender, request company information, arrange a site discussion, or speak directly with the team.
Supporting the sales process
The project extended beyond web design. A commercial acquisition system was developed around the website to help Horizon actively approach the market rather than wait for enquiries.
The result
This project was not about making a new company appear bigger than it is. It was about ensuring the digital presentation finally matched the experience behind the company.
Horizon now has a clear commercial positioning and an integrated brand system designed to support:
