    AI Compliance & Ethics

How we ensure our AI services meet Irish ePrivacy regulations and the EU AI Act.

    Last updated: 13 August 2026

    Our Commitment to Responsible AI

At First Page Digital, we believe that AI should enhance customer experiences without compromising privacy or transparency. We are committed to deploying AI solutions: such as our AI Voice Agents and AI Chat Agents: in full compliance with Irish ePrivacy regulations, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the principles outlined in the EU AI Act.

The EU AI Act & Transparency

The EU AI Act categorises AI systems by risk and mandates strict transparency requirements for systems that interact with humans. To comply with these regulations:

    • Clear Identification: Our AI agents are programmed to clearly identify themselves as artificial intelligence at the beginning of every interaction. Users will never be misled into believing they are speaking with a human.
    • Purpose Limitation: AI systems are deployed strictly for the purposes agreed upon (e.g., customer service, booking appointments) and do not engage in unauthorised data profiling or manipulation.

    Irish ePrivacy & Call Recording

Under Irish ePrivacy regulations, all parties on a call must consent to the recording of that conversation. When deploying AI Voice Agents, which inherently process and record audio to function, we implement mandatory compliance wrappers:

    • Pre-Call Disclosure: Before the AI engages, a clear pre-call message informs the caller that the call will be recorded and processed by an AI system.
    • Explicit Consent: Callers must proceed with the call after the disclosure, constituting consent to the recording and processing of their data.
    • Opt-Out Options: Where possible, we provide options for callers to opt-out of AI interaction and request a callback from a human agent.

    Data Processing & Security

The data processed by our AI systems is handled with the utmost security, in line with GDPR:

    • Data Minimisation: AI agents only collect information necessary to fulfill the user's request.
    • Secure Storage: Transcripts and recordings are stored securely within compliant CRM systems and are subject to strict retention policies.
    • No Public Training: Client data and customer interactions are never used to train public AI models. Data remains siloed and confidential.

    Client Responsibilities

While we provide the compliant infrastructure, our clients (as Data Controllers) share the responsibility for ethical AI deployment. We require all clients utilising our AI services to:

    • Maintain accurate Privacy Policies detailing the use of AI and call recording.
    • Ensure that AI agents are not used for outbound cold-calling without explicit prior consent from the recipient.
    • Sign a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) that outlines the respective responsibilities of both parties.
